Shannon is a Colorado native, attending high school in the Denver suburb of Chatfield
and then Metropolitain State University. A hooker for the WPL Merlins squad, she
started playing rugby in 8 th grade. Her family lineage is from Pacher, Austria, where she
can trace her roots to the south of Vienna in the 15 th century.
