Born in Minneapolis, Ehrecke grew up in Iowa, attending Valley High School before
earning a B.S. in Economics from Penn State University. Ehrecke has played rugby for
Valley High School in Iowa, the Midwestern Thunderbirds, and at Penn State before
becoming a Merlin. A dedicated rugby enthusiast, she was integral in creating the first
high school girls rugby league in Iowa.
